Preharvest Factors that Influence the Quality of Tomato | Asian Journal of Research and Review in ..

Increased tomato production can assist the majority of growers in the world's poorest countries earn more money. However, in these parts of the world, postharvest losses make production unprofitable. The quality of tomato fruits after harvest is impacted in part by preharvest procedures used during production. Understanding and effectively regulating preharvest (genetic, environmental, and cultural) factors can reduce tomato postharvest quality losses. The preharvest parameters responsible for improving tomato fruit quality have been researched and discussed in this review. In addition, several environmental and cultural elements that contribute to increased tomato fruit quality are examined in depth.
