Influence of Intrinsic Motivation on Employees’ Performance in Commercial Banks of Nigeria | Asian..

When it comes to implementations, discussions, and research, motivation is critical in the domains of management and organisational psychology. When it comes to addressing how to keep employees happy and productive, intrinsic motivation becomes critical. The goal of this study was to see how the desire to direct personal affairs and the drive to continuously enhance employee performance interacted. Data was collected from 187 employees and managers from five commercial banks with international authorisation in Kebbi state, Nigeria, using a simple random procedure. Quantitative data was acquired from the participants via an online questionnaire. The correlations of variables were investigated for the two objectives using a simple regression model at 0.246 and 0.226 values, respectively, in a descriptive survey design. With the help of SPSS, all hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a significant level of 0.05. With a p-value of 0.0010.05, the data revealed that employees' desire to direct their personal matters has an impact on their performance. Furthermore, with a p-value of 0.030.05, the data revealed that employees' ambition to consistently develop has an impact on their performance. If employees' performance is expected in the banks, the study advises commercial banks, managers, owners, and other stakeholders to examine intrinsic motivation, establish an enabling atmosphere, and prioritise employees' continuous improvement and desire to direct personal affairs.
