WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN RIVER MANDAKINI AT CHITRAKOOT: A PRELIMINARY STUDY | BIONATURE

Chitrakoot is a well-known religious site on the banks of the sacred Mandakini River. On both banks of the river, there are numerous Ghats, platforms, and temples. Thousands of people bathe at the river's several Ghats (Sphatik shila, Janaki Kund, Pramod Van, Ramghat, etc.) on special occasions. The massive bathing activity may have an impact on the river's physical, chemical, and biological features. As a result, we decided to conduct this research. For the year 1993, preliminary observations are shown below.
