VARIATIONS IN PHYSIOLOGICAL GROWTH PARAMETERS OF SOYBEAN (Glycine max. (L) Merr.) GENOTYPES ........

During the wet season of 1990-91, a field experiment revealed that the leaf area index (LAI) leaf area ratio of soybean genotypes varied significantly (LAR). Crop growth rate, Leaf weight ratio (LWR), Specific leaf area (SLA), Specific leaf weight (SLW), and Leaf weight ratio (LWR) (CGR). Up until general flowering, the genotypes displayed a pattern of linear increase in several physiological growth parameters, after which there was a dramatic drop. JS 82-1006 and Bragg were both physiologically efficient genotypes.
