Unilateral Internuclear Ophtalmoplegia Due to Minor Trauma: A Case Report | Asian Journal of Medical
The degradation of the link between the nuclei of the oculomotor neurons in the lesion of the medial longitudinal fascicle (MLF), which permits the eyeballs to move together, causes internuclear ophthalmoplegia (INO).
INO: Its cause may include demyelinating illnesses (MS, etc.) in young patients, as well as vasculitides (Behçet, etc.), sarcoidosis, neoplastic (medulloblastoma, etc.), trauma, and infectious agents (Lyme, etc.). It is generally encountered in older persons as a result of a stroke.
