The Socio-Economic Effects of Youth Unemployment in Kashmir Valley | Asian Journal of Sociological..

Work has traditionally had an impact on society and humans. For an educated kid, losing their job is often a traumatic experience. Youth unemployment is referred to as a "double threat" because the constant increase in young unemployed persons who are unable to engage in or enter mainstream society is seen as a threat to society's social cohesion. The current paper examines the social consequences of prolonged unemployment on youth, including individual health and family mishaps, suicidal tendencies, late marriage, population as a contributing factor to unemployment and psychological disorder among youth, our educational system, and social isolation as yet another threat among Kashmir valley youth.
