SUPPRESSION OF FALSE POSITIVE REACTION IN SERODIAGNOSIS OF PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS BY ENZYME LINKED..

Several immunodiagnostic methods for the identification of serum antibodies in tuberculosis patients have been tried. However, the results were found to have little repeatability. In 215, clinically suspected tuberculosis cases and 15, healthy controls, the more modern enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used. The assay was run with and without 0.2 percent BSA, and the extent of cross reactivity was measured to determine the technique for pulmonary tuberculosis serodiagnosis.
