SEASONAL AIRBORNE POLLEN SCENARIO AT EXTRAMURAL SITE (KAMPOO) AT GWALIOR (M.P.) | BIONATURE

Between September 2006 and August 2008, an aeropalynological survey was carried out using a Burkard portable spore trap. There were a total of 35 pollen types discovered. The pollen grains came from 26 different angiosperm families (24 Dicotyedons and 2 Monocotyledons). When compared to monocotyledons, dicotyledon taxa contributed the most pollen grains. Pollen from the Poaceae family rated first, followed by Asteraceae, Mimosaceae, and Cassia type, according to a two-year study. Winter has the most pollen types caught, followed by summer, autumn, and wet seasons.
