Role of Effective IT Governance on Development of Agriculture Industry in Canada
Information Technology (IT) is one of the most significant human technological advances that appears to have provided many capabilities to human society and is supposed to be useful in addressing current economic issues. Many researchers agree that using communication and information technology to accelerate and modify the process of knowledge and information exchange will be critical in achieving human capital growth and sustainable development, and that it will become knowledge-based. Agricultural practises are influenced by the complexity, shifts, and variables of human factors, as well as the unpredictability of environmental and global economic factors.Agricultural production has also become more important due to the strategic value of food security and poverty reduction. Both components of the agricultural industry will be subjected to fundamental and systemic changes as a result of rising globalisation of agricultural product exchange and widespread competition in this sector, which has changed the system of market equations. Environmental factors, such as changes in water and climate, have caused profound changes in agriculture, and would eventually have the most detrimental effect on agricultural activities.Agricultural policymakers and researchers will face rising and uncertain challenges in the coming decade, despite their lack of preparedness, due to both of the above components. Many problems in the agricultural industry have been improved thanks to the use of technology; however, agriculture organisations face a significant challenge in making successful use of technology. Data will be collected from agricultural firms, and samples will be drawn from four Canadian provinces (Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario). This research subject is extremely important in Canada; one of the study's major contributions is the creation of a theoretically based model that incorporates Canada's successful information technology governance and agricultural development.
