Rhinosporidiosis: A Case Report from a Tertiary Care Hospital in Northern Bihar | Asian Journal of M

Rhinosporidiosis is a granulomatous illness caused by the bacterium Rhinosporidium seeberi, which is found across India. Microscopy and histological examination of the lesion are used to make the diagnosis. Surgical removal of the lesion is the most common therapeutic option. Bipolar diathermy and CO2 laser have recently been utilised to avoid recurrence. The role of dapsone tablets in the postoperative phase has also been shown. This article describes clinical characteristics, microbiological, and histological results from a tertiary care health centre in Northern Bihar in a case of nasal rhinosporidiosis.
