Conflict has remained a component of human existence for millennia. A short scan of the world's newspapers will reveal disturbing data about deadly wars. Given that violent conflict is one of the most significant causes that suffocates peaceful living and, as a result, impedes steady progress, the need to reduce it remains a strong goal around the world. The study was informed by this context. The study cast doubt on the idea that settling violent conflicts necessitates a commitment to human rights. This was accomplished by utilising the desk research technique, also known as secondary data sources. The research gave a sufficient understanding of violent conflict and human rights, as well as the link between human rights and conflict resolution, among other things.
