Proximate and Anti-Nutrient Composition of the Stem Bark of Ogirisi (Newbouldia leavis) Plant

The proximate and anti-nutrient composition of the stem Bark of the ogirisi (Newbouldia leavis) plant was examined. The plant was examined in an experimental laboratory setting for the existence of proximate and anti-nutrient components (Newbouldia leavis). The study found that saponin, ash, moisture, crude fibre, crude protein, cardic glycoside, oxalate, and trypsin inhibitor are present in ogirisi (Newbouldia leavis) in concentrations of 1.59, 85.3 percent, 8.56 percent, 5 percent, 49.15 percent, 4 percent, 4.310 mg, and 1.162 mg, respectively. As a result, the study recommends that the medicinal capabilities of Newbouldia leavis (Ogirisi) be harnessed and employed for disease therapy.
