Promotional and Human Capital Development as Correlates of Administrative Staff Job Performance in N

The purpose of this study is to look into the effects of promotions and human capital development on polytechnic administrative staff job performance in Ogun State, Nigeria. This study used a survey research design and descriptive analysis. The population was made up of administrative workers from polytechnics (both public and private) in Nigeria's Ogun state. 200 questionnaires were delivered to administrators in four state and two privately owned polytechnics in Ogun state using a stratified random sampling technique. The study discovered that job performance components (such as effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability) are positively associated to promotion and human capital development in Nigerian polytechnics using multiple regression analysis. The study shows that promotions and human capital development have a greater impact on employee performance than task efficiency and job adaptability. Human capital development must be focused on the policy front in order to make people more efficient and productive in their roles and career trajectories. Promotions, employee training, and growth, in particular, must be communicated to both managers and employees.
