Principals’ Attitude and Creation of Professional Learning Communities in Selected Kenyan Secondary

The study looked at how principals' attitudes influenced the formation of technical learning groups in a group of Kenyan secondary schools. A total of 194 principals, 1526 teachers, 194 Board of Management (BOM) Chairpersons, and 6 Sub-County Quality, Assessment, and Standards Officers were included in the report (SCQASOs). There were a total of 1920 respondents and informants in the study. The research recruited 20 principals, 153 students, 20 BOM Chairpersons, and SCQASOs using both purposive and stratified random sampling procedures. The data for the analysis was collected using questionnaires and an interview schedule.Cronbach's methods were used to ensure questionnaire reliability, and the alpha value was 0.792. The quantitative data was analysed using SPSS Version 23, while the qualitative data was analysed using thematic analysis. The attitudes of secondary school principals and the growth of technical learning groups have a statistically important positive relationship (n=125; r=.741; p.05). The establishment of skilled learning communities should be incorporated into the curriculum for teacher education. Principals will be better equipped with management skills as a result of this.
