Percutaneous Retrieval of a Port-A-Cath Using a Pigtail Catheter Combined with Snaring Technique: A

In roughly 1% of cases, central venous catheters might break, fracture, or embolize. It's a severe and rare consequence in chemotherapy patients, with only a few occurrences recorded in youngsters. In a youngster undergoing chemotherapy, we describe an effective procedure for extracting a damaged implanted venous port using a snare. Percutaneous retrieval of line fragments is sometimes useful and should be done by interventional cardiologists in all children with migrated catheters.
