This review addresses the contraction mapping concept in detail, as well as many variants of the conclusion and their straightforward proofs. The intermediate value theorem, fixed-point theorem, Brouwer fixed point theorem, and primarily Banach fixed point theorem are among the conclusions examined (contraction mapping principle). Finally, several basic applications in matrices, integral equation theory, Real Analysis, and differential equations were covered.
