KARYOLOGICAL STUDIES ON MYLLOCERUS UNDECIMPUNCT AT A MALE AND CYTOGENETIC EFFECTS OF 2-THIOPYRIMIDIN

The cytological data on Myllocerus undecimpunctata, a cotton pest, is presented in this work. Metaphases of spermatogonial cells exhibit 20 autosomes and two sex chromosomes. Pyrimidine-2-Thiol treatment diminishes fertility by disorting diplotene, making it necessary to recommend using this chemical to suppress the pest.
