HUMAN GENOME MAY SHARE SOME GENES WITH PLANT GENE POOL| BIONATURE
There have been numerous publications in recent years describing homologous DNA sequences in invertebrates, lower and higher vertebrates, with some of these sequences matching to specific locations on human chromosomal DNA sequences. However, no DNA sequences from the plant genome have been identified to match a sequence linked to the human chromosome, as far as we know. This brief communication describes a sequence in lsoetes L. genomic DNA that is identical to the human chromosome DNA sequence BACR-976B16 from library RPC1-11 on chromosome 14.
