HISTOPATHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF N-PHENYL THIOUREA ON THE OVARIES OF EPILACHNA VIGINTIOCTOPUNCTATA .....

When 50 mg of N-phenyl thiourea is administered to females of Epilachna vigintioctopunctata via contact, significant histological abnormalities in the germarium and vitellarium occur. Nuclear clumping and cytoplasmic vacuolization are observed in trophocytes, prefoliicular tissue, and the follicular epithelium. The yolk deposition into developing oocytes is either inadequate or hindered as a result of these cellular abnormalities.
