HISTOPATHOLOGICAL CHANGES CAUSED BY RADIOCALCIUM IN INTESTINE OF SWISS ALBINO MICE | BIONATURE

Ionizing radiations are particularly damaging to the intestine functionary's precursor cells. The entire intestine is dependent on these crypt dividing cells, which are only found in the central regions. In the Crypt region, the radiolesions appear as dead mitotic figures, villi shortening, chromatolytic, vacuolated, and pyknotic cells, hyperaemia, hydropic degeneration, and lymphocytic infiltration.
