GM ALLOYPES AND DISEASES | BIONATURE
The Gm System is a polymorphic serum protein system discussed in this research. The distribution of allotypes and haplotypes throughout human races and populations begs the question of whether selective pressures may have played a role in their evolution. Because antigens are linked to antibody-forming molecules, it is tempting to believe, as Steinterg did, that molecules with different Gm types differ in their ability to make effective antibodies against different diseases. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the research on the possible relationship between various diseases and Gm allotypes.
