GENETICS OF NATURAL VARIENTS. II. CHROMOSOME SURVEY OF SIX SPECIES OF ANIMALS | BIONATURE
A chromosome survey was carried out in natural populations of Dysdercus koenigi (cotton insect), Tylotropidus voricornis, Poecelocerus picta (grass hoppers), Passer domesticus (house sparrow), Bandicoota bengalensis (Bandicoot, big field rat), and Cannis familiaris (dog) to investigate inherent and operational genetic mechanisms among species. While translocations are widespread in Poecelocerus picta, inversion in Tylotropidus, and no obvious chromosomal abnormalities in Dysdereus and Cannis The chromosomes of Passer and Bandicoota have a few chromosomal abnormalities.
Despite its versatility, the dog Cannis familiaris has a karyotype that is quite constant. Please see the link :- https://globalpresshub.com/index.php/BN/article/view/35
