Gastric Teratoma in Adult Imitating Bezoar in a Gastric Fundal Diverticulum | Asian Journal of Medic
The endoderm, ectoderm, and mesoderm are three germ layers that arise early in embryonic development and provide the foundation of human existence. Gastric teratoma is an uncommon teratoma that mainly affects children or newborns, with adults being much rarer. Bezoar is a solid mass of indigestible material that builds up non the digestive tract, particularly the stomach, and is infrequently linked with gastric teratoma. Gastric fundal diverticulum, on the other hand, is a rare and uncommon gastrointestinal diverticulum that occurs near the stomach's fundus. We provide a case report in which an adult was diagnosed with a big gastric fundal diverticulum with bezoar and post-operative histology revealed a mature gastric teratoma.
