Financial Market and Business Growth; Perspective of Small and Medium Size Enterprises in Nigerian |
The impact of the financial sector on company growth in Nigeria has piqued the interest of scholars and policymakers in recent years. There is no scientific proof that the Nigerian financial market has affected corporate growth. The goal was to look at the influence of the financial market on the growth of small and medium-sized businesses in Nigeria. The study used a sample size of 439 respondents using a basic random sampling procedure. Content validity and the Cronbach Alpha test were used to confirm the study tools' validity and reliability. Ordinary least square regression analysis was used to examine the assumptions. Money market was accessible to assist small company sales volume in Nigeria, according to the findings. The results of the study also suggest that The capital market has not been supportive of small and medium-sized firms' market share. It is suggested that the money market be changed to extend the payback time or enhance the moratorium period. It is also suggested that the government educate small businesses about the various credit intervention schemes available and reduce the conditions for obtaining these loans; this will enable small businesses to acquire the technology they require to revolutionise business operations and facilitate growth.
