EFFECT OF SOME GROWTH REGULATORS ON CALLUSING IN DALBERGIA SISSOO | BIONATURE

Calli were grown from the hypocotyl region of Dalbergia sisoo seedlings on MS media enriched with auxins 2,4-D, NAA, and IAA, as well as cytokinin BAP, in various concentrations, singly or at combination. NAA (0.5 mg/1)+BAP (0.5 mg/l) and BAP (0.5 mg/l)+IAA (0.5 mg/1) treatments resulted in good callus growth. BAP (0.5 mg/l) therapy resulted in the maximum cell density. It's possible that the larger number of cells/mg callus mass was attributable to a faster rate of cell division during cytokinin treatment.
