EFFECT OF LOW AND TOXIC LEVELS OF NOCKEL ON SEED GERMINATION AND EARLY SEEDLING GROWTH OF MOONG ....

The effect of varying Nickel concentrations on Vigna radiata seed germination, root-shoot length, and dry weight was investigated. Despite the fact that final germination was always 100% in all nickel dosages, the gemination speed was determined to be the fastest at 3ug ml-1 Ni dose. In the test plants, lower doses resulted in an augmentation, whereas higher doses resulted in a reduction in root-shoot length and dry weight.
