Direct integration of Corchorus olitorius (Jute) leaf litter with chosen fungi: Chaetomium bostrychodes and Trichoderma viride improved soil physicochemical parameters as well as Trigonella foenum-graecum growth and productivity (Methi). Plant biomass was statistically significantly higher in inoculation trials than in uninoculated trials, while nitrogen uptake and productivity were not statistically different. The results were comparable to adding organic manure to the soil.
