Democratic Practices in Nigerian Socio-Political Setting | Asian Journal of Sociological Research

The way power is exercised in the management of a country's economic and social capital for growth is referred to as good governance. Sound policies, fruitful alliances, and concerted inclusion of the vulnerable, affected communities, and women in the development process are all essential for long-term poverty reduction. The importance of good governance to the development process and the usefulness of development assistance was emphasised. It was politically difficult to express dissatisfaction with authoritarian regimes' corruption, mismanagement, and abuses without offending them. The fact that human development with better health and education, as well as higher wages and economic growth, leads to an irresistible call for independence, is consistent with good development success. As a result, good governance entails concentrating on the organization's mission as well as the consequences for people and service users. The analysis used a secondary data collection approach that relied on reliable and appropriate sources. It included textbooks, journals, and papers, as well as foreign and national agencies' internet publications.
