CONTROL OF MELOIDOGYNE INCOGNITA ON SOLANUM MELONGENA BY MUTUAL APPLICATION OF GA3 WITH TWO ORGANOCA

Several biological characteristics were used to determine the optimal concentration of GA3 (100 mgL-1). In plants infected with M. incognita, application of GA3 with all doses (0.5 to 10.0 g.a.i.L-1) of aldicarb and carbofuran showed synergistic behaviour on all morphological parameters, including root length, shoot length, fresh weight, dry weight, anthesis formation duration, and crop yield. The root knot index (RKN) was found to decrease when aldicarb and carbofuran concentrations increased. The effect of both nematicides on root knot index was amplified when GA3 was added.
