COMPARISON OF CYTOCHEMICAL EFFECTS INDUCED IN VIVO AND IN VITRO BY CERTAIN POLLUTANTS | BIONATURE
In vivo on rats and in vitro on human foetal kidney cells, the effects of two insecticides, parathion and chlordane, and two metallic salts, sodium Selenite and sodium arsenate, were studied. In the liver, kidney, lung, and brain, significant differences in staining intensities with both methyl green pyronin and feulgen naphthol yellow-S were seen in the treated series compared to controls. The staining patterns in the foetal kidney cultures were identical.
