Charles Bonnet Condition (CBS) is a syndrome characterised by diminished visual acuity or loss of eyesight, as well as visual hallucinations, without any psychopathology. Visual hallucinations can be vivid, complex, and repeating. These aren't caused by psychiatric diseases. Patients understand that hallucinations aren't genuine. Age-related macular degeneration and cataracts are two common causes.
