BIOLOGY, CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT OF BHOJWETLAND I. UPPER LAKE ECOSYSTEMS IN BHOPAL | BIONATURE
The overall environment is a dynamic system that is made up of different compartments, such as land, water, and air; sectors, such as forests, wild life, and man; and subsectors, such as industry and society. Natural changes are modest and nonviolent in each compartment and sector subsector. Intracompartmental stresses are naturally counterbalanced by intracompartmental microscis transmission. However, unplanned human activity has had an impact on the environment's fundamental components. They have considerably overburdened themselves in this area, resulting in stress-inducing components that go beyond self-balance. Water is the most important component of the biosphere, as well as the most important prerequisite for life to exist. A volume of 15 x 108 cubic kilometres of water covers two-thirds of the earth's surface. Fresh water resources are estimated to be 36 x 106 sq km, with only 1.25 x 1017 kg of this water in the form of lakes.
