BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF MOSQUITO BREEDING IN URBAN CITIES OF ASSAM | BIONATURE

According to preliminary surveys, Poecilia reticulata (Guppy fishes) were particularly successful at controlling mosquito breeding in open drainages in Guwahati. As a result, these fish are being mass-reared and released in Assam's major cities' drains and ponds as a bio-control strategy to combat mosquito measles, in close collaboration with state/district health authorities.
