BIOCHEMICAL STATUS OF APLUDA MUTICA L. INFECTED WITH PUCCINIA APLUDAE | BIONATURE

The per-oxidase activity of Apluda mutica L. infected with Puccinia apludae increased significantly as the severity of the disease increased. In severely infected leaves, lower polyphenol oxidase activity was observed, along with greater levels of total and 0-dihydroxy phenols. Infected leaves had higher protein and carbohydrate content as well as lower alpha-amylase activity.
