BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM EUS AFFECTED FISHES OF BHOPAL | BIONATURE
Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome (EUS) is a fish condition that can be fatal. Several wild fish species, including Mystus seenghala, M. cavasius, Mastacembellus amatus, Macrognathus aculeatus, Puntiusticto, P. Sarana, Nandus nandus, Xenentodon cancia, Channa striatus, C. Punctatus, Chanda ranga, Trichogaster faciatus, and Notopterus notopterus, were affected The disease's main symptom is the formation of haemorrhagic ulcerative sores on the body surface, which lead to tissue necrosis and fish death. EUS-affected fish samples were collected from a variety of water bodies and evaluated. Aeromonas hydrophila (R1), Aeromonas sobria (R2), Pseudomonas fluorescens (R3), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (R4), Pseudomonas sp. (R5), Cytophaga sp. (R6), Lactobacillus sp. (R7), Pseudomonas sp. (R8) (R7). Most of the infected fishes tested positive for Micrococcus varians (C1), Streptococcus sp. (C2), and Staphylococcus sp. (C3). Aeromonas hydrophila, Pseudomonas fluorescens, and Micrococcus varians dominated almost all of the cultures obtained.
