ANALYSIS OF CHIASMATA FREQUENCIES–A CYTOTAXONOMIC TOOL | BIONATURE

Chiasmata frequencies were measured in five Aedes (Stegomyia) scutellaris species. The mean chaismata frequency was species specific, according to statistical analysis utilising DUNCAR's multiple range test for comparison of means. As a result, it has been suggested that it be utilised as a secondary cytotaxonomic technique.
