An Unusual Cause of Anal Pain: A Miracle Journey of Fish Bone Down the Gut | Asian Journal of Medica

Only a few occurrences of unintentional ingestion of foreign bodies, particularly fish bones, have been described. I present a case of acute anal discomfort caused by the intake of a fish bone by mistake. A 64-year-old guy came to our health facility with anal discomfort. He claimed to have eaten fish the day before our clinic appointment. A point of a fish bone was found penetrating through the anal verge tissue during an inspection. The fish bone was removed without incident, and the patient was released without complications. If not found and handled promptly, a long fish bone might cause serious injury. This is the first case reported at my health clinic, to the best of my knowledge.
