A Study on Job Stress during Work from Home in the IT Industry | Asian Journal of Sociological Re...

The reasons for stress, the influence of stress on productivity, and the ways for dealing with stress are all explored in this study. Employees in the IT industry are included in the study's population. The purpose of the study is to analyse job stress among IT personnel from various companies in Trivandrum. The majority of the respondents report feeling stressed since they are unfamiliar with the work-at-home arrangement. The study's main conclusions include the following: stress has a significant impact on staff productivity; as stress levels rise, productivity declines. Prioritizing difficult activities first, discussing with coworkers and superiors, and relying on family support are the most frequent techniques for dealing with stress. Gender and stress have also been discovered to be linked. It has also been discovered that a lack of cooperation among coworkers can induce tension and affect stress levels.

Employees must learn new stress management techniques because stress has an impact on their productivity. In this study, some effective strategies are discussed. In addition, management has a variety of options for reducing employee stress. Employees can be more productive and become assets to the organisation by effectively managing stress, as the work from home arrangement offers many other benefits.
