A STUDY OF SOME MORPHOLOGICAL, BEHAVIOURAL AND GENETICAL PARAMETERS AMONG JATS OF HARYANA | BIONATUR

A survey of Haryana's Jats (n = 750) was conducted, and the results were compared to samples of Jat Sikhs (n = 937). ABO blood group, colour vision, hairy pinna, mid-phalangeal hair, ear lobe attachment, arm folding, and leg folding were all included in both samples. In a larger sense, the results of certain parameters suggest Caucasoids affinity. The comparison of Haryanvi Jats and Jats Sikhs suggests that, although being reproductively isolated to a significant extent, the two castes have parallel development and ethnic relationships. This is evidenced by the fact that despite the lack of interbreeding for multiple generations, identical distributions of genetic features such as ABO blood groups and other qualities under research have been discovered between the two groups, implying a shared origin.
