A Performance Analysis of Power Distribution Utilities of Haryana

The installed generation capacity, power availability, and power sold, the number of electricity users, sector-wise electricity consumed, pending electricity bills, credit rating, and settlement of pending electricity bills in Haryana have all been discussed in this paper. One explanation for the outstanding energy bills may be commitments made by political parties during election campaigns to waive the bills. This provides consumers with security, especially in politically sensitive areas.As a result, legitimate actions are needed to transform the Haryana Power Utilities (HPUs) from significant losses to sound profit-making units. The availability and accessibility of moderate and subjective power provide fuel to the monetary growth engine.
