A PRELIMINARY NOTE ON AN INTEGVRATION OF QUANTUM MECHANICS WITH A THEORY OF CONSCIOUSNESS
Abstracts
The proposed theory would integrate our understanding of meditative states and the transmigration of souls with some aspects of transpersonal psychology in a mathematical, physical and cognitive model. This work compares the progression of conscious experience with a series of nodes in a multi-dimensional lattice. Any event, such as a physical or emotional trauma, or a discontinuous or fluctuating field at the quantal level, may give rise to an hiatus of conscious experience, which may be overlooked or serve as a generational mechanism for profound organizational difficulties of an emotional and/or cognitive nature. An active interactional relationship between the proposed structure of consciousness and the spatiotemporal continuum would be consonant with near death experiences and reincarnation towards diverse destinations, thus allowing for continuuing posthumous consciousness. We may also expect that meditative states of various types should alter probabilites associated with Planckian quantum states, and so affect long-term outcomes at the macrocosmic level of experience.
